Borneo island - 3rd biggest on Earth and one of THE most bio-diverse places on the planet - within Borneo, Mount Kinabalu is THE beacon of flora and fauna diversity and Lupa Masa is fortunate enough to be within just 10 metres of its boundary.

In addition Lupa Masa is 600 m above sea level. This means it is still warm enough for humidity loving mammals and plants in the day time (think gibbons, orangutans and giant trees) but cool enough in the evenings to make it comfortable to sleep - in fact the evening temperatures are as close to perfect as you will find in Borneo.

Every journey into the forest, day or night brings new exciting discoveries. Some Borneo facts:

At 130 million years old the Borneo Rainforest is the oldest on Earth

More than 15,000 species of flowering plants including 3,000 species of trees

221 species of terrestrial mammal and 420 species of birds
